Developing a flexible middle school microschool that centers real-life learning and community connection.

Drawing on 17 years of experience and a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction, I am launching a localized learning model in this neighborhood that prioritizes interdisciplinary inquiry and adapts to every family.

As a veteran IB educator, I believe every neighborhood deserves a small educational option that reflects its unique culture. This microschool combines academic rigor with holistic flexibility, creating a space where middle schoolers thrive through community-rooted projects. While I have deep experience with neurodiverse and 2E learners, my broader mission is to design a curriculum that is inherently responsive to every child's specific cognitive strengths and needs.

Core Principle

Education should be localized and human-centered. Starting in my own community, this project invites students into a learning environment that respects their natural rhythm. By integrating real-world problem solving with executive functioning support, the goal is to ensure that the system serves the student—not the other way around.

Join In

I invite you to help shape this vision by sharing your needs, ideas, and hopes for our local youth. Whether the goal is to join an interest list, provide feedback on pilot programs, or learn how to start a similar microschool in your own neighborhood, I am eager to connect and build this future together.
